A BBC News item
A couple of years ago the Women's Sport and Fitness Foundation published findings that found that only a fifth of women in the UK are doing enough exercise every day.
Govenment guidelines recommend 30 minutes of moderate exercise, five days a week.
The Daily Telegraph reports...
Recent research has shown that only 12 weeks of exercise was enough to improve fitness levels for middle aged women, to levels they may have achieved in their thirties.
Although the findings from the University of California were based upon vigorous exercise, the study states that regular exercise at any level produces benefits.
